About Mirrored E Ranch

Our story began in 2015 when Emily began breaking and training horses with her 4-H leader Kim. During this time she was able to learn alongside a successful rider and trainer who understood the importance of continuing to learn, no matter where you are in your horsemanship journey. Emily continued to ride with Kim at horse shows and rodeos which encouraged growth and confidence. In 2018 the Ecklund's moved to Troy, ID and Emily continued to rodeo locally and regionally in local jackpots and high school rodeo. She continued to grow and experience new avenues of horsemanship such as; dressage, jumping, cutting, sorting, and penning. For Emilys high school senior project she took on the task of collecting an untouched mustang from Wheatland, WY. The horse she named "Remington" was one of the pieces that made the biggest impact on her knowledge. To connect with an animal that has no faith in people and teach them that we are worthy of being a partner and leader is truly spectacular and can be an extremely humbling experience. After graduation, she began working at Jessi Jeans Equine Services in Juliaetta, ID and her eyes were opened to new techniques that have improved her abilities to teach exponentially, both to horses and in the lesson program. She now has the tools to go out on her own and share the joy and knowledge of horses to others.
